Two Guest Bath Remodels in a Culver City Traditional
Both original 1946 bathrooms in a Culver City traditional gutted and rebuilt at the same time, with new supply and drain lines.

- Final cost
- $61,000
- Duration
- 6 weeks of construction
- Size
- Two bathrooms, 60 sq ft and 45 sq ft
- Permits
- Culver City Building Safety, permitted and inspected
SCOPE OF WORK
- Demolition to studs in both bathrooms
- New copper supply lines and ABS drains
- Tub and tiled shower surround in the hall bath
- Walk-in shower in the second bath
- Floating oak vanities and new exhaust fans in both
WHAT WE RAN INTO
The house has only two bathrooms, and the owners stayed through the job. We sequenced rough plumbing so the hall bath came back online before the second one was opened up, leaving them a working shower every night but two.
THE RESULT
Two finished bathrooms in six weeks, with new lines behind the walls instead of 1946 galvanized pipe.
